day 38, virgin diet

Glad to report that thus far, I appear to be having zero reaction to eggs.  That will work nicely for me, should it continue.

This morning I tested my theory that using 2 scoops of protein powder in the shake might help me not to be hungry in the morning.  It worked.

Happily, my kale and swiss chard have continued producing throughout the summer.  Maybe it’s the cool, rainy weather.  Anyway, it’s helping a lot with the shakes.  I’m able at all times to have a bag of fresh, washed, de-stemmed greens in the fridge, ready to be tossed into the blender.

Lunch today was leftover soup, two hard-boiled eggs, and a cucumber and some celery with hummus.  Supper was basically the same, except I swapped out the eggs for an apple and almond butter (soooooo sweet and delicious!)

IMG_0992Tomorrow will be my last day of testing eggs, and then on to 3 days of no testing.
